I thought I would write a quick update for our family. We had a great Christmas. Karls brother Fred arrived 10 days before Christmas with his family and so the party kicked off a little early for us. Sue comes from a home that has always dipped chocolates at Christmas so I talked her into teaching, but it was so fun to learn the skill and every time I thanked Sue and told her how much I was going to like this new learned skill my family was real quick to agree! I can’t even tell you how many chocolates we went through around here in the 11 days they were here. This picture was taken as we were getting ready for the 16 other guest that would join us for Christmas Eve. We have a tradition of joining with a few family’s each Christmas eve and this year we were the hosts. We’re are especially lucky because these families are incredibly talented so each Christmas eve are ears are treated to absolutely beautiful violin, piano and vocal pieces in between ready the Story of Christ’s birth from the Scriptures.
Lilly didn’t really catch onto the opening of gifts…”I mean really you have been after me for weeks to leave them alone and now all the sudden everyone going after them” She did, however love all the commotion and just went from one pile to another giggling…really I think she figured, as she always does, that everyone had gathered in the living room to play with her! Then someone opened a gift for her, it was a book and
the world had to stop to read her a book. She promptly took the book look around for me, walked right up with a huge grin and backed her little bum up into my lap%
