Well in Case You Didn't Know How Much The Wiscombes Like the Pomegranates

We are so grateful for the pomegranates. You cannot know what a blessing they are. I know that sounds silly but what you do not know is all the time and energy that they save me. Here are just a few examples: 1- They will save me from coming up with another show and tell. 2-Just one medium one can say thank you better than a hot loaf of bread. 3-One medium with a smiling face drawn on it, can put a smile on a sister I visit teach who has not had a lot to smile about in a while now. 4- Four or five of them placed in a cute 50cent D.I. basket, will be the hit of the service auction at Enrichment Night next week and I will not have to spend more than a few minutes on it like I usually do. 5- One Big one will be a great birthday gift for one of my close friends who loves them. 6- One or two in a fruit basket along with the pears, apples, oranges I got for a killer deal at NPS will be perfect for Bart to give to those families he and Sam home teach in November ( how convienent..it is even the Thanksgiving month). 7- A pomegranate salad is going to be the hit of the Visiting Teaching luncheon on Saturday. 8- Abbi has not asked if she can have a school lunch once since we have gotten home because she and Heather are so excited to take their home lunches to school with a little container full of those little red gems in them. 9- When Sam came up and told me two minutes before he left for a birthday party if I had anything for a present, it was so nice to plop a big red ball in his hand and hear him say "COOL!...this is going to be his FAVorite present!" and then after to hear that it truly was! 10-It was so fun to hear my Father-in-Law say "OH LOVely...Pomegranates!!! I love them! I was missing them so much, I broke down and bought one for 2.50! Oh, this is so nice...THAnkyou." And to tell me once again the story about how he planted a pomegranate tree in Arizona. And the list goes on and on and on. Thank you for planting them, and weeding them. and watering them, and giving them a lot of tender loving care, and letting me come and pick them and bring them home!!! And when I told you that we reeeally love them, you had nooo idea! Every one loves to eat them in our house. Me?..I love them too. They are like bringing boxes of Fairies home with me! I am not sure, but I think that it only works like that if you live where it snows. I am not sure it would work quite the same way down where they are falling off the trees every where. Of course, you never know..I did see the prices for them at Lynns and they were not cheap. Go figure. I love you. -Venita
