Came home for a few days to check on things and see Russell Ellwanger while he was in Vegas. We spent an afternoon and evening with him at John and Renee's. They provided a wonderful meal for all of us and it was a great time. Russ is in Vegas on business. He is doing well and is busy and happy. If I can I will post pictures. Too lazy right now.
We will go back to the cabin in a few days. Donald wants to go with us again so will see if our renters will take care of things while we are gone. The fishing has been so good and Donald is a good trapper of fish. He says he doesn't fish, he hunts them and sets traps. He doesn't even hold his pole. Just lets them really swallow the whole thing, and then just hauls them in. We ate fish almost every day while up there and some in the freezer. One fish is more than enough for three and, oh so good.
Dad has to be in Salt Lake again in a few weeks. We will go on up there after the Clark reunion in Cedar. Hope everyone is planning on going. We love you and hope you are all well and happy. Come to the cabin sometime this summer and camp out with us.

Panquitch Lake Resort
I tried to put in a link to this but if you just google the resort it comes up. Check out the new cabins that are for rent if roughing it is not your cup of tea. We will always have tent room for anyone at the cabin and we have the fifth wheel up there now also. You can reserve that if you let us know. We don't mind sleeping in the cabin. It still has a bathroom and lots of hot water and we cook inside sometimes and out on the grill mostly. COME SEE US. FISHING IS GOOD RIGHT NOW!
Mom and Dad Update
I was going to post some pictures in the last post and never got around to it. Decided to post anyway even though it is old news. Here is the latest:
Evadean is in Cedar getting ready to go to the cabin where Don and Donald have been fishing while I have been in Salt Lake to try to get something to hear better with. I am trying two different hearing aids for a few weeks to decide if either of them are going to make a difference. I think they will. We will be up there for a few more days and then go home to check on things and be able to see Russ Ellwanger. He is going to be in Vegas for a few days on business. Then we will go back to the cabin until...............not sure. We have a phone up there now and that number is: 435 676 8729. Come see us. Not sure if we will get email and web service or not. They do have service for it up there now but not sure how much it will cost. Love you all.

Update on Mom and Dad
We finally received word on the tests done in Salt Lake for Dad. The Dr. has given him an okay for another year. The cat scan didn't show anything adverse except some scarring on his bladder, but the cancer has not grown or metastasized. That was a relief to know. We are blessed. We just found out he has to go back up for his final on the study he has been a part of though in July. I wish they had let us know about that before now. We thought we didn't need to see that Dr. until the fall. Venita and Bart are going to get tired of us.
I am trying out a new hearing aid in my left ear and had another mapping on my implant. In some ways it is better but not as good as I had hoped for but guess I will take any little bit of improvement I can get.
We are doing well. Donald is doing well. He is still studying for his test and hope that happens soon. We are going into Vegas for a round of high school graduations tomorrow. Carly, Jaclyn, and Emily. Three days in a row. Will stay at Melissa and Scott's. They have invited us to dinner after Jaclyn's on Wednesday, and Emily has invited us to celebrate her graduation and her mom's 50th birthday on Thursday evening. Don is loaning the car to Donald so he can spend time with his girls while in there. We hope that goes well.
We are busy. We went to a 15th birthday celebration for Pedro's granddaughter last Saturday. I can't pronounce, let alone spell, the occasion, but it was long and loud but very nice. A very family affair with lots of little kids and good food. The music was so loud; I'm thinking we both lost a few decibels of hearing. ( some we couldn't afford.)

Dona Parker Information
I keep forgetting to put this on in case any of you would be interested. She would love a visit. Dona Parker is at Sandy Regional Care Center. 90th South, just off the freeway and just barely past State Street. Her room is either 118 or 114, can't remember for sure. It is very very easy to get to.

This was at our last Stake Emergency Conference. Becky Bartly bought one and said it worked well. Thought you might be interested to go to the site and check it out.

More Video of the Church
More video. I guess there isn't anything to be saved. It started in the RS room and then after it got into the attic it just went so fast there was nothing that could be done. From the north you can see clear through to the parking lot on the south. The only thing they said standing in some of the rooms are a few studs. The chapel is completly gone. The amazing thing is that the bishops offices were not touched at all. They were over by that new addition I think.

Happy Birthday Dad/Grandpa
Dear Dad/Grandpa,
We are so blessed to be a part of your posterity! We love you. We honor you. We are so grateful so many of us were able to be together for a fun-"bug"-filled birthday weekend.
This will go down in all the memory books as one we will never forget.

CHRISTMAS ON GABRIEL
This is my first time at a video so hope it works. Also I will get better at editing I hope. Just ignore the little birds or whatever at the end of the film
I thought you might enjoy Christmas so many years ago. I'm afraid I have waited too long to digitize and the film has deteriorated a lot. I have more and will post if you are interested. Let me know. It's still fun to watch for me. Where has the time gone. Scott and Jason, were not very old here. Love you all. Mom
PS I forgot we have Melissa's birthday dinner on this also. How old were you Lis? Like I said I hope to get better at the editing. :) It's fun though.

Merry Christmas
We hope all are having a wondrful season so far. We are looking forward to having Jason and Angela and children here and getting together with as many as we can in Cedar for the New Year's party and Dad's 80th. Wow! Can it be.
This is the tree by the fireplace and it was put together even faster than the one in the study. I did hang grandma Clark's tatted stars though and the icicles from McGill days. Everything went on pretty laxadasical but that's okay and we are enjoying the sweet sprit the Season brings. I haven't even been in a store yet. I don't want to spoil it.
My old Nativiy Scene that has never gotten finished in all these years. I keep saying I will and then I don't. Hmmmmmmmmm sounds like the story of my life.
And even though the picture is a bit blurry, I love this little German nativiy that Karl and Jeanna gave us when we spent Christmas with them in Germany.

IF ANY ONE WANTS POMEGRANATES PLEASE COME PICK THEM. THEY ARE GOING TO WASTE; WELL THE TURKEYS ARE ENJOYING THEM. THEY ARE SOOOOOOOOO YUMMY THIS YEAR. LOVE YOU ALL AND HOPE YOU HAVE A WONDERFUL THANKSGIVING. THE WISCOMBES HAVE INVITED US TO EAT WITH THEM SINCE WE WILL BE THERE FOR DAD'S YEARLY TEST FOR THE DEVICE IN HIS HEART. SO FAR IT HAS BEEN OKAY AND SO HOPE THIS YEAR WILL BE POSITIVE ALSO.
