Information for Jeanna and anyone else needing it

Thanks mom for sending this, I had been on the blog last week looking for the dates and couldn’t find them although this time they were right there. We are planning on being there. Darn I just closed it before getting the dates on my Calander, but I’m thinking it was the 12-14 Aug. If that isn’t right will you reply to this and let me know.

Anyway, I looked at the cabins online or at least some ot them and wondered if you know one from the other or which are closest to the cabin etc.

The closest lodging to the cabin is Deer Trail Lodge, which is just down the mountain. The site has pictures and pricing. They have just remodeled everything and it looks quite nice from the pictures. In one of the pictures you will see the back part of the cabins. Behind that is the road leading to our cabin. It is not far at all and we walk it quite often. It has a few tent and RV spots but no hookups that I know of. The next closest is Rustic Lodge, and we walk that too. The kids used to take a little deer trail that was a short cut down the mountain. They have just recently remodeled also and both of these have places to eat and buy a few groceries. The Deer Trail is the newest restraunt but we havent' eaten there and the Rustic Lodge a long time ago. It was good. The rustic also has an RV Park that is nice, with lots of trees, but will have to reserve early because it fills up soon. There are places to eat all around the lake but we haven't tried them. The Country Store is right on the main road before you turn off to go around the lake and to our cabin. It has an RV Park with hookups. I will try to get a website for that. Right next to it is the church facility that we will be using for what ever we want to do there. They have a small kitchen that we can keep things warm and cold but not actually cook in. We would have access to chairs and tables and there is a basket ball hoop. It is set up much like our chapels except no permanant seating and so it is more like a cultural hall but with a podium and sound system. I am hoping we can have a nice program and show off our grandkids talents etc. :) On the other side of the Country Store is a little hot dog stand and video rental etc. and across from that is the Blue Springs Lodge. It is the newest that is close to us. They are individual cabins and no RV spots. All of the above have websites that I have posted. You can look at the inside of the cabins and find out pricing etc. And yes Jeanna, those are the dates. Aug. 12,13,and 14th or as long as we want. We will be up there most of the summer. And remember when you visit the Blog besure to hit the refresh button to bring up the current posts.

Well hope this helps some and if you need anymore information I will find it out. Love you all. Mom
